Dear AV Users,

Few days back I requested support/help from AV User Community regarding
transferring AV Shapefiles to Garmin eMap GPS. So far I have not received
any solution, however some very useful comments regarding the above problem
have been provided by Mr. Ted Northrup, Mr. Paul Lohr and Mr. Todd W.
McNeil. I really thank them your their comments. Their my original question

Pls let me know if you find any source for this. We are Garmin dealers and
ESRI Business Partners. We make shapefiles for local roads. I contacted
Garmin Cartography and they are specifically preventing any map data from
coming into a Garmin unless it's Garmin Cartography. We would really like to
be able to put our maps into a Garmin.

Let me know if you get anywhere with this.  I am involved in a project that
will use GPS/GIS for public safety and the ability to upload existing city
data layers into a garmin unit is crucial for the solution.
